Hosting and server log files

This website runs on a server operated by Contabo GmbH:

When you open the website, your browser automatically transmits data that the web server stores in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, the HTTP status code, the referring page (referrer) and your browser and operating system (user agent).

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website and the detection and prevention of attacks. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed longer to investigate a specific security incident.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Contabo GmbH. The server is located in the European Union.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

We delete your message once your request has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Saved settings (local storage)

If you choose a colour scheme (light/dark) or a language in the settings at the top of the page, your browser stores that choice in the local storage of your device. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us or to third parties, and contains no identifier by which you could be recognised.

This storage is strictly necessary to provide the setting you have explicitly requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG) and therefore does not require consent. You can delete the entries at any time via your browser’s site data settings.

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content. Fonts are served from our own server, not from external providers such as Google Fonts.

With regard to your personal data you have the following rights against us: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21).
